A Korean family took over a Vietnamese kitchen here in 2013 and kept cooking the only way they knew how. Thirteen years and roughly 100,000 bowls later, the Korean is in the broth and in the wok, not bolted on as a separate page of the menu.

Korean food, from a shop with Pho in the name. Fair question. Here is the straight answer.
The house broth is chicken and dried seafood, built with cinnamon and black pepper, finished with Korean seasoning, and made fresh every morning. That finish goes into every bowl of pho we pour, including the plain ones.
Then there is the wok. On the Jjambbong Pho the seafood and vegetables go through the wok, the hot broth goes into the wok with them, and the whole lot is poured over the noodles. It is a Korean way of building a soup using a Vietnamese base.

Jjambbong Pho
Korean jjambbong built on a Vietnamese broth. Prawns, mussels, crab and squid through the wok. Warming rather than burning.
Vietnamese Tang Soo
Chicken, pork or prawn in a crisp potato starch coat, tossed in sweet and sour sauce. A Korean-regular favourite here for years.
Sizzling Black Bean
Wok-tossed in fermented black bean sauce, then out onto cast iron. You hear it before you see it.
Seoul Chili Pho
The chilli bowl. Vegetables through the wok, hot broth poured over the top. Chicken standard, beef or seafood for a little more.
Vietnamese Fried Rice
Built one portion at a time in the wok, never a batch, and seasoned with Korean beef seasoning.
Feast Combo
Any pho, a fried rice, and Tang Soo or the Black Bean Plate. Serves two to three. The family order.

What time are you open?
Every day from 11am. Monday and Tuesday we close at 8:30pm, and Wednesday through Sunday we close at 9pm.
Is the food spicy?
Only where the menu says so. The Jjambbong Pho has chilli in it, but it is warming rather than burning, with more depth than fire. The Satay Curry Fried Rice is the genuinely spicy one. The plain Heritage Pho has no chilli anywhere near it.
Is it good for kids?
Yes. There are 40 seats, and a kids meal at $19 that comes with a juice. The Heritage Pho has no chilli in it, so a cautious eater is safe.
